Working With Lead Like Jesus Team: Five Steps to Lead Your Millennial Today

Thanksgiving season is an opportune time to intentionally focus on how amazingly blessed we are, especially in collaborating and linking arms with leaders like the Lead Like Jesus team in proclaiming the message that Millennials do indeed matter!

Ken Blanchard has been a positive inspiration and teacher to many of us throughout our careers, from The New One Minute Manager and Lead Like Jesus Revisited.

I’m so grateful to Ken for writing a powerful endorsement for Millennials Matter: “Danita Bye has written a fabulous guidebook for leaders in every generation.” I’m so grateful to @KenBlanchard for writing a powerful endorsement for Millennials Matter: “Danita Bye has written a fabulous guidebook for leaders in every generation.” Share on X

Then, there’s Phyllis Hennecy Hendry, CEO of Lead Like Jesus.

When I interviewed Phyllis for Millennials Matter I was struck by her insight on character development in up-and-coming leaders. I asked Phyllis to make recommendations for leaders who are committed to mentoring, coaching, and developing their next-gen leaders. She said, “To influence Millennials, you must relationally connect with them. Invest time in forming close and meaningful relationships.” @PhyllisHennecyHendry, CEO of Lead Like Jesus., “To influence Millennials, you must relationally connect with them. I fully agree.  Recent research shows that over 50 percent of Millennials are disengaged at work.  How do we get them to bring their whole selves to work? If we want to harness their unique skills, talent, and insight, we need to be intentional in engaging them.

Finally, Karin Conlee, who hosts podcasts and zoomcast series for the Lead Like Jesus team. Karen and I have had energizing discussions on our common passion, leading and developing our emerging leaders. A huge Thank You to @KarinConlee who hosts a podcast series for the Lead Like Jesus team.  Millennial Leadership Conversation – Part 2

The media’s negative comments about the millennial generation are relentless. This onslaught has caused many experienced leaders to give up on them. They feel that Millennials are just too different, and they don’t even try to engage them. It’s a cultural clash!

Instead, let’s focus on the strengths that Millennials can bring to our world. By building character, developing authentic confidence, and cultivating true collaboration, we can reinvent the relevance of this exciting generation.

To learn more about developing the strengths of your Millennial, I invite you to watch the second part of our Millennial Leadership Conversation here.

Five Steps to Lead your Millennial

In this podcast, I’m outlining a 5-step practical plan for Boomers and Gen-Xers who manage and lead Millennials. Successful leaders know that building high-capacity millennial salespeople and leaders can become a driver and differentiator for their business and their organization.  However, these leaders want practical advice to mentor and disciple them into great leaders. you can listen to our interview here.

It is my passion to spread the message that not only do Millennials matter, but that YOU MATTER.

And, your leadership matters!

I’m grateful for the opportunity to link arms with Ken, Phyllis, and Karen, the Lead Like Jesus team, in proclaiming this message.
